Image to PDF puts JPG, PNG and WebP pictures into a single PDF in your browser, one picture per page, in the order you set. It suits scanned receipts that an expense form wants as one file, photos of handwritten notes, or a set of screenshots to send together. Choose A4, US Letter or pages shaped like each picture, plus the orientation and a margin, and the PDF is ready to download.
How to use
- Drop your pictures on the box, or click it to choose them. Each one appears in a numbered list with a small preview.
- Use Up and Down to set the page order, and Remove to drop a picture.
- Pick a Page size. With A4 or US Letter, also pick an Orientation: Match each picture turns a page sideways for a wide picture. Fit to each picture makes every page exactly the size of its picture.
- Pick a Margin of none, 10 mm or 20 mm, press Make PDF, then press Download.
Examples
Two test pictures, a wide one of 1,200 by 800 pixels and a tall one of 800 by 1,200, made into a PDF on A4 with Match each picture and a 10 mm margin, give a 2 page PDF named after the first picture. The first page is landscape A4 and the second is portrait A4, each picture shrunk to fit inside the margin and centred. With Fit to each picture and no margin, the pages are 1,200 by 800 and 800 by 1,200 points instead.
Limits
Each picture may be up to 25 MB, and up to 50 pictures can go into one PDF, as Quick facts shows. A picture with more than 50 megapixels is refused. Pictures are shrunk to fit the page but never enlarged, so a small picture stays small in the middle of the page. JPG pictures are saved again at 92% quality, and PNG and WebP pictures are stored as PNG, so the PDF can be larger than the pictures together. Animated WebP files keep only their first frame. Phones have less memory than computers, so many large pictures may fail on a phone before these limits.
FAQ
Are my pictures uploaded to make the PDF?
No. A background worker in your browser reads the pictures and writes the PDF on this page. Nothing is sent to a server.
Why is my phone photo the right way up in the PDF?
Phones store photos sideways with a note saying how to turn them. The browser applies that note when it reads the picture, so each page shows the photo upright, as you see it in your gallery.
Can I put two pictures on one page?
No. Every picture gets a page of its own. To combine pictures on one page, put them together in an editor first and add the result here.
