Resume Builder turns a short form into a plain one-column resume PDF, with a live preview as you type and no account. It suits job seekers who want a clean, text-based CV quickly, without a template full of columns, icons or photos. The PDF is made on your device, and its words are real text that can be selected and copied, not a picture of text.
How to use
- Type your Full name, then your contact details, one item on each line: email, phone, town and perhaps a link.
- Write a short Summary in your own words. The tool writes nothing for you.
- Under Experience, fill in a job title, employer, dates and the points you want to show, one per line. Press Add job for more, up to 10.
- Do the same under Education, then list your Skills separated by commas.
- Check the Preview, choose A4 or US Letter, press Make PDF, then Download.
Examples
The form opens filled in for an example person, Sam Lee. The PDF starts with the name in bold, then one contact line, sam@example.com | +44 7700 900123 | Leeds, UK. Under it come the headings SUMMARY, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION and SKILLS in that order, each point as a line starting with a dash. Clear the Summary box and that heading disappears from both the preview and the PDF, because empty sections are left out.
Limits
No tool can guarantee that an applicant tracking system will accept or rank a resume well; each system reads files its own way. This layout keeps to one column, plain headings and real text, which is the simple end of the range. The PDF uses the standard Helvetica fonts, which draw English and most Western European letters only: letters such as Ł, Ő or Ğ, non-Latin scripts and emoji are refused with a message that names them. Up to 10 entries a section and 2,000 characters a field, our own caps. There are no photos, colours, columns or templates, and no writing help.
FAQ
Does the tool keep or send my details?
No. The form and the PDF exist only in this browser tab, and closing the tab clears them. Nothing is stored for a later visit, so download the PDF before you leave.
Why is my name refused when it has a Polish or Turkish letter?
The built-in PDF fonts cover the Windows Western character set only. Write that letter without its accent, such as L for Ł, and the PDF can be made.
How many pages will the PDF have?
As many as the text needs. When a page is full the text runs on to the next one, and the result shows the page count before you download.
